SINGLE FERRULE BITE TYPE FITTINGS

These Single Ferrule Bite Type Fittings are the most widely used bite type fittings in the world. These Single Ferrule Bite Type Fittings are flareless bite type metric fittings that consists of a body, progressive ring (ferrule) and nut. On assembly, two cutting edges of the ferrule "bite" into the outer surface of the tube ensuring the necessary holding power for high operating pressures.

Feature :

• These Single Ferrule Bite Type fittings and accessories (Three Series)are manufactured in accordance with DIN 2353 for fluid application
• The three components of Single Ferrule Bite Type Fittings are designed to produce a strong, reliable, leak-free joint upon proper assembly
• Couplings are best suited for steel, copper or stainless steel tubes where brazing, soldering, welding, flaring or threading is not possible or permissible

Working Principle :

Single Ferrule Bite Type Fitting is a flare less three-piece design fitting comprising of a Socket body having a precision conical seat, a one-piece precision machined hardened Progressive Ring (ferrule) and a Coupling Nut. When the Coupling Nut is progressively tightened it makes the Progressive Ring to move on to the tube which subsequently makes two bites into the outside diameter of the pipe, thereby forming a visible collar of material at A, ensuring a strong, reliable, high degree of safety and permanent sealing due to the outstanding construction & design of our progressive ring.

A second seal point at B is also created between the now bowed ferrule and the fitting body seat. The progressive ring in its dismantled state can be turned around while still on the tube.

Weld Fitting :

All coupling in this catalogue can however be supplied with our extremely reliable O-ring welding cones which has been specially designed to easily fit into the cone. The standard coupling nut can be used.

Standards & Specifications :

• Manufactured as per relevant as per industry standards such as DIN : 2353, DIN 3851, ISO : 8434 -1, ISO : 8434 - 4, IS:8805, BSI 5200, JIC, SAE J 514 / ISO 8434-2 etc.
• Couplings are guaranteed interchangeable with products of other manufacturers corresponding to DIN 2353 in India and / or abroad.

Material Used :

The wide range of couplings and Single Ferrule Bite Type Fittings are manufactured in Steel, Stainless Steel 304/316 & Brass. O-ring supplied with the fitting is made of NBR (e.g. Perbunan) having shore hardness of 90º + 5º & temperature range of -35º up to +100º C.FPM (e.g. Viton -25º up to +200º C) can also be supplied on request.

• Complex shapes such as elbows, tees, etc are manufactured from hot forging, which has obvious advantage over plate in extreme strength & high impact resistance
• Straight fittings are manufactured from cold drawn bar stock
• Profile bodies may also be used for shaping item wherever required
